Activist, musician, and storyteller Paul “Che Oke Ten” Wagner is a member of the Wsaanich (Saanich) Tribe of southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia. He shares traditional songs and stories of the Coast Salish peoples with warmth, humor, and wisdom in an engaging and interactive way. An award winning flutist, he interweaves his songs on the flute with traditional tribal drum songs into a journey to an ancient time and place of the first peoples of this land.
He will make a presentation as part of the Coast Salish Series at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 30 at San Juan Island Library. This event is free.
