Dec. 6: Orcas Island Holiday Tree Lighting

Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual tree lighting festivities on Friday, December 6, starting at 3:45 pm. Islanders and visitors can join the fun on the Village Green with hot cider and baked goodies for all in attendance.

Shortly after 4 pm, Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive with bags of toys and treats for all the kids. The Orcas Island Community Band will provide holiday melodies starting at 4:15 pm. At approximately 5 pm, the evening will be capped off with the lighting of the tree, resplendent with bright, sparkling winter lights.

“We thank the hard-working crew members of the Orcas Power & Light Cooperative for volunteering their time to string the tree with lights,” said chamber staff. “The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce wishes everyone the happiest of holiday seasons.
