* The second meeting with Coupeville, this time on Whidbey. The first was three weeks ago on San Juan and the Purple and Gold won 28-14.
* FHHS and CHS are the two football schools in District 1 and the winner of the 2-game series advances to a crossover contest with a team from Southwest Washington. If FH wins this week they move on to the crossover. If Coupeville wins then the two play one more time (would be a great name for a band in Friday Harbor). That tie-breaking game would be at La Conner October 31st.
* The Wolves lost their first five games 25-7 to Annie Wright, 30-19 to Cascade (Leavenworth), 58-27 to Granite Falls 31-7 to Cedar Park Christian and 28-14 to Friday Harbor. They then beat South Whidbey 35-6 and last week lost to Adna 52-7.
